Warmup3 Pictures This is a picture of looking out a door because of social distancing and we are supposed to stay at home when we can. I like how the color of the picture turned out, with the bright green on the front of the bush and the dark shadow in the back. I used the rule of thirds to make the edge of the door line up with the left third of the picture. I took a picture of my cat because I've been inside a lot with my cat. The picture is mostly brown and theres some green where the plant is in the corner. My cat is also kind of blurred while the background is sharp and I think that has a cool effect like the cat is moving. This is a mask my aunt made and sent me. I like how the mask takes up most of the space in the picture. I also like the lighting on the mask and how the top of the mask is the brightest part. I think the texture of the mask looks good next to the texture of the carpet.

I drew a picture of my friend Shreyas from when we went bowling with a group of friends.Value: The drawing is done in different shades of gray Shape: I started by lightly drawing simple shapes like ovals and circles and then I tried to make it look more like the original image. Most helpful warmupThe most helpful warmup was the hair curl drawing because I didn't know how to draw hair
1. The place represented in the picture is Harris Neck Park in Georgia. I went there with my aunt and cousins over the summer and it was fun 2. The trees were the most challenging part but they ended up turning out OK. 3. I think the texture of the dirt was the best part. 4. I found a picture I took and then I sketched it out and then I mixed some colors to use and then I painted the canvas all red and then painted layers of color over the red. After I had base colors down I started adding layers of different tones and shades. Then I added the trees and added some shadows in the bushes and grass. In progressFinishedMost Helpful Warmup
1. I learned a lot of things about painting and colors from these warmups. I did not know what colors were opposites or how to mix brown. I also didn't know how to make textures.
2. I think the color wheel warmup will be the most helpful because it shows how to mix different colors and what colors are opposites. 3. I learned from the textures and take my time and be careful with brush strokes because none of them turned out that well. 4. You can mix brown my combining opposite colors such as red and green, orange and blue, and yellow and purple. 5. You can tone down a color by mixing it with white paint. WarmupI thought drawing the sign language a was the most helpful warmup. I didn't know how to draw hands before and I like how it came out. Splitting it up into basic shapes helped a lot with drawing it because it was easier to think of it as lines and shapes than as a everyday thing. Composition and ValueComposition - The placement and arrangement of objects in the drawing
Value - The relative darkness and lightness of a color The artist I chose is Banksy. He is a anonymous street artist based in England. Though his identity is unknown, many have speculated him to be Robin Gunningham, born on 28 July 1973. His work mainly consists of street art stenciled onto the sides of buildings and walls around the world, though he has also created more conventional paintings and sculptures. He is known for the dark and political humor displayed within his art. His work grew out of the Bristol Underground Scene, and he has stated that one of his biggest inspirations is 3D, a graffiti artist and founding member of musical group Massive Attack. His first works appeared in the early 90s
I like his work because of its humor and stylization. His work often depicts scenes commentating on modern issues and life. I think it is cool that he has been able to create well known art while remaining fairly anonymous himself. Website: https://www.banksy.co.uk/ |
